The Essex Arts Award

A means whereby young people who participate in any type
of creative arts activity in their leisure time can have their work
officially recognised and issued with an award certificate.
The patron of Essex Arts Awards is the famous actress

Dame Helen Mirren and all certificates carry her signature.

Nominations for Certificates at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels can

be made by youth workers, arts officers, tutors and teachers

(for work completed outside of formal education), heads of

youth organisations, people involved professionally in the arts.
There is a rolling programme for nominations and there

is a turnround period of about six weeks between

nomination and delivery of certificates.
